My story

Rooted in the forest. Grown by hand.

Forestside Farm & Garden began with a love for the land and a longing for a slower, more intentional life. When I first stepped onto this land, there were no fences, no garden beds, no structures—just raw earth, towering trees, and a dream. Over the past five years, I’ve built this farm from the ground up, shaping not only the land but my heart along with it.

I learned quickly that homesteading is equal parts wonder and work. It’s muddy boots, early mornings, and projects that take twice as long as you planned. It’s also fresh eggs still warm from the nest, sun-warmed tomatoes straight from the vine, and quiet moments where the forest breathes around you.

But my journey hasn’t been without heartbreak.

Learning, Loss, and Renewal

At the end of 2023, I faced one of the hardest moments of my farm’s story: losing my entire flock to predators and garden to the deer. It broke more than my routines—it broke my confidence. After years of careful tending, one devastating season uprooted everything I thought I knew.

Taking a step back wasn’t easy, but it was necessary. Over the next year, I allowed myself to rest, reflect, and regain my footing. When winter 2024 came, I felt that familiar tug back to the land. This time, I returned with stronger systems, wiser heart, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Rebuilding wasn’t just about welcoming new birds and seeds—it was about rediscovering why I started in the first place.

Life Beneath the Forest Canopy

Today, Forestside Farm & Garden is a place full of life again. Beneath the trees and along the garden beds, I raise animals with care, tend vegetables and herbs, and create handmade goods inspired by the rhythms of the seasons.

Everything I make comes from a place of intention:

  • Farm-fresh eggs from well-loved birds

  • Heritage livestock, raised with gratitude

  • Hand-poured candles in forest-inspired scents

  • Homemade soaps crafted with natural ingredients

  • Garden-grown preserves that taste like summer in a jar

Each item reflects the heart of homestead living—simple, slow, and connected to the land.

My Values

I believe in the kind of work you feel in your bones and the kind of living that changes you from the inside out.

  • Grow with intention: Food should nourish both body and soul.

  • Care with gratitude: Animals are not products—they are part of my story

  • Create with nature: Use what the earth provides, honor what it gives.

  • Live simply, wholeheartedly: Find joy in the slow, the homemade, and the hand-built.

Why “Forestside”?

Because the forest isn’t just my backdrop—it's my partner. The towering evergreens and maples offer shelter from storms, shade for summer work, and inspiration for everything I create. My candles, soaps, and even my brand name carry the spirit of these woods.

Forestside Farm & Garden is more than a business. It’s a place of renewal, resilience, and roots - A reminder that even after loss, life grows again.

I’m honored to share this journey with you.

Welcome to the place where the forest meets the field—and everything is grown with heart.
