Our chicks are purebred Buff Orpington, hatched from the largest eggs currently on site

Orpington chickens are dual purpose, extra-large egg layers with a docile temperament and broody nature.

When used as meat birds, Orpington are ready for processing when roughly 5 to 6 months old.

Chicks would be hatched in a controlled and monitored incubator.

Within 24 hours of hatching, chicks would be vaccinated for Merek’s Disease in order to keep existing flocks healthy.

Chick pickups would be available either through direct pick up on the farm or weekly at the Farmer’s Market in downtown Shelton. Payment would be due at the time of pick up.
